Chief meteorologist Tom Terry and the team of certified meteorologists at WFTV Channel 9 have developed the WFTV Channel 9 Weather App, an exceptional local weather technology that provides accurate and up-to-date information.

This app, available for free 24/7, is continuously updated with the latest storm and forecast information specifically for the Orlando and Central Florida areas. Additionally, users can watch live coverage of Eyewitness News and the WFTV meteorologists in Severe Weather Center 9 directly on their mobile devices.

With the app's built-in interactive radar, users can zoom in on their neighborhoods, including Brevard, Flagler, Lake, Marion, Orange, Osceola, Polk, Seminole, Sumter, and Volusia counties. They can also zoom out to check the radar anywhere in the country. Furthermore, location-based storm alerts will provide users with the most recent severe weather warnings.

The WFTV Weather App is designed to cater specifically to WFTV viewers and News 96.5 listeners, ensuring comprehensive weather coverage for Central Florida.

<li>Streamlined home screen for easy access to desired features on one tab.</li>
<li>Precise location pin placement for specific addresses or positions on a map. Users can also customize the names of saved locations.</li>
<li>Identical features available on both tablet and handset.</li>
<li>Additional seasonal items added periodically.</li>
